Bar Soap
As my shower gel ran out, I resorted to an old fashioned bar of soap. This was one of the easiest finds as I already a very nice one, that was in a gift I was given at Christmas by Laquana and James (thankyou!). From now on it will be bar soap for the shower.
Now I had no idea that you could get shampoo in a bar! But it turns out that you can, and conditioner.
Having used this for a while now, I find that it leaves a thin residue on my hair even after thorough rinsing. What I will do is try out a few other varieties until I find the one that suits my hair best. I can tell that this is not going to be an easy swap for many of us.

Hand soap re-fills
Bar soap is not going to be an option for hand washing for me. I have glass soap dispensers attached to the walls next to the sinks in the bathroom and downstairs loo. The answer to this I found at the zero waste shop in town as they ask you to bring your own bottles and they will re-fill them for you at the shop so you can re-use the bottles that you have.

The cost I thought is reasonable in comparison to the main supermarket brands. Their Ecoleaf “grapefruit twist” hand wash is 35p per 100ml as at 20/7/2019
