drinks on the hoof

For me, this easy swap is a “No Brainer”.

Like many people out and about during the day, the number of single use plastic bottles and disposable cups I have gone through is seriously countless. Not to mention how many £££s I have spent on drinks in shops, and cafes and motorway service stations, (ESPECIALLY service stations), just passing through.

Bottled water costs vary widely in my experience, and I can easily spend £1 for a 300ml bottle. Tea or coffee comes in anywhere from £2 to £3.50 a cup.

WHY AM I DOING IT!!!

The answer in my case is a combination of convenience and laziness.

My aim now is to make checking I have a travel mug or bottle before leaving the house as “second nature” as checking I have my keys >money>phone>pen>hanky.

Better still make a flask of tea and keep the cash in my purse (and maybe take some home made biscuits – see my recipe on separate page).

Even better still, get someone else to make the flask!

I am sure anyone reading this has already hooked onto this cash and waste saving change. If not, I hope this will inspire you to try.
