I have moved away from using traditional single use and throw away paper kitchen roll. The varieties that are wrapped in potatoes starch “plastic” are a bit pricey and I can only find them on line.
Since December I have started using re-usable cloths made from bamboo fibre.

Basically they are a soft, strong absorbent fabric. Stronger and thicker than kitchen roll.

I keep them in a peg bag next to my tea towels where they are easily to hand, but out of the way.

When used, instead of discarding like I would with paper ones, I give them a little rinse and pop them in a string bag under the sink.

Then when I put my tea towels through the washing machine, in they go with them, then peg them up to dry and re-use.
