I like baking, and if I can say so, home made cup cakes and muffins are irresistible.

Sadly supermarkets in Darlington sell cupcake cases in single use plastic wrap or plastic boxes. So I tried to make my own, but as you can see this was a failure

At last I found a brand sold in cardboard. Made by “If You Care” they come in 3 sizes. The large should fit my muffin tray nicely. I found these on the Peace With the Wild website which I have used before. They have hugely increased the range of plastic free items they sell since I last took a look.

These are more pricey than the ones I used to buy in the supermarket (Morrisons 100 for £1), but that seems to be the trend with many plastic free options.
Today I paid £1.90 plus delivery for a pack of 60 large cake cases. Just as well I only bake for us two, and it’s a weekend treat.
