tea break through!

Delighted to say I have at last found a plastic free tea brand.

Tea pigs. The bags are made from corn starch. The packaging from NatureFlex which is made using wood pulp. Their packs of 15s and 50s have the “plastic free trust mark“.

It’s incredible, the wrapping almost looks and feels plastic, but it’s fully compostable plant fibre. Even the bags look like nylon mesh.

Cost? A pack of 50 bought on their website comes in at 19 pence per tea bag, no extra charge for postage.
