This week I am trialing cleaning refills from another on line company called Splosh based in Hay on Wye, Wales.

On Thursday I ordered their refill pouches for toilet cleaner, laundry detergent and fabric conditioner. They arrived Saturday and were compact enough to go through the letterbox.

Splosh suggest your first order includes their bottle. I did not do that as I want to reuse the bottles I already have rather than throw them away.

The toilet cleaner cocentrate is enough to refill 3 x 550ml bottles and cost £4.95 inc post. That is £1.65 per bottle which again is more than the plastic ones I used to get from the supermarket.

The washing detergent is ready mixed 430 ml and cost £5.95 inc post (says it’s enough for 23 loads).

The conditioner is ready mixed 430ml, costing £5.25 inc post (says it’s enough for 44 loads)

This is not a completely plastic free option, but their idea is you return the pouches to Splosh when empty, using the box they used to deliver them to you, postage free, rather than throw them away.
